Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Rewind, operated by Luke Steffens (trading as Rewind), based in South Africa. By creating an event or joining one, you agree to these Terms.

The service

Rewind lets a host create an event, invite guests via a QR code or link, prompt them with photo missions, and reveal a shared gallery of the event’s photos at a chosen time.

Your account

Rewind uses passwordless email sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your email inbox secure, as anyone with access to it can sign in to your account.

Plans and payment

Paid events are charged once, per event, at the prices shown on our Pricing page, in South African Rand. Payments are processed by Paystack. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

Host responsibilities

• Use Rewind lawfully and only for events you are entitled to run.
• Obtain any consents required from your guests for taking, sharing, and storing photos through the service.
• Set appropriate event and reveal settings.

Your content

You and your guests keep ownership of the photos and captions you upload. You grant Rewind a limited licence to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate the event and provide the service to its participants.

Acceptable use

You agree not to upload or share content that is:

• Unlawful, harassing, hateful, or threatening;
• Infringing on someone else’s rights;
• Sexually explicit, or exploitative of minors in any way;
• Malicious, deceptive, or disruptive to the service.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

Availability

Rewind is provided “as is”. We work to keep the service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify or discontinue features.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Rewind is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost content arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under South African law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
